Self Belief : The tool for success at SSB

It is said that if you believe in yourself half of the work is automatically done. One should have firm belief in ones capabilities. One cannot get anywhere without it . Self belief is the topic of discussion for today and we will see how it really helps in achieving success. As far as SSB is concerned its all about revealing the true identity but one must be aware of it, then only factually things can be linked to the personal self and revealed at SSB. Each and every round at SSB is designed for this purpose where they try to analyse various qualities through different assessment techniques and that helps in giving the fair judgement whether the candidate is trainable into officer or not.

In a research it was found that everyone has all the qualities, the thing that makes the difference is the degree in which the quality is present. So if everyone has it why cant everyone make into defense as we all know that its rejection rate is one of the highest in the country and only a few can make it. Its not like that people don't understand that they have the quality or not but they are always in a dilemma to understand that they have the potential. They need to feel confident that they have the capability, they need a constant push and a mentor who can assess them individually and tell the qualities that are present in them and the qualities that need a bit of development. One has to realize the true potential one carries. In my mentor-ship program i often come with cases where people say after knowing the analysis result that they never realized that they had this quality or weakness but when i try to link it with their life events then they claim that they had been noticing this quite often but they ignored. Thats the power of self introspection, but it should be done with a firm self belief and positivism so that the end result is always good.
