What are the hindrances in getting SCREEN IN at SSB : Part 2

In the previous part 1 of this series we saw how screening is conducted and how the things done at that level. Also since there is more number of assessors aspirants should be assured that there might be no evaluation error and three assessors are kept so that this error could be minimized. Now how to improve the performance at screening so that selection could be ensured. There are many factors that are being judged at screening rounds. Remember that though 15 OLQ's are being judged at SSB here only the potential to show that there is a will to be an Indian defense force officer can ensure selection. The aspirants might be thinking that how can showing of a blurred picture, writing story, doing GD reveal that. Please remember that SSB is a scientifically designed process where things happen like this only so these things will bring out your qualities that are based on perception. 

Perception is shaped because of the following things:

• Past life events
• Environment in which an individual lives
• Upbringing
• Though process
• surroundings and the people a person is presently living with

Now few of these things are not in your hand and those things cannot be changed but yes there are certainly few things that can be changed and can help you in being positive. Every one of us has the qualities, the need is just to identify them at the right juncture and work on those qualities that are bleak. Rest can help in getting selected if proper degree of all the qualities is maintained.  The handiest thing to do this is SELF INTROSPECTION which is the only tool to realise what we have and what need to be developed. Once this is identified by studying the various factors of life it’s easy to improve the personality. Once the person improves its just the by default result that one can easily be recommended in the SSB. SSB is a place where one needs to reveal a personal self only. Nothing more can be easy for any individual as other exams demand a lot of other things. The following aspects can help in getting screen in:

•    Once self-introspection results are in hand one need to reflect his or her own personality into whatever they do in SSB. No copying or looking for good stories etc. at other sources. Such things cannot help as they might superimpose others personality on you.
•    Books and other material help you in giving a general idea only but you need to write things specific to your personality only.
•     If you are looking for guidance only look for individual guidance so that only your personality is studied at a time and not of the bunch of people as SSB is something very individualistic hence it needs only one to one study of personality.

At screening the story should show your potential and also the qualities should be sufficiently reflected. Individual narration should be flawless keeping time limits in mind. Also the Discussion should not be converted into the fish market and proper moderation should take place.
