Everything happens in
life for the first time but most of the memories attached in our heart are
related to our mother. When the child is born the first word that is pronounced
is “MAA” , the first learning of life is also given by a mother. Mother forms
the base of every child and the learning of traditional values inherited by a
person is also dependent on that. It will not be wrong if I say that we live
life because of mother life and we exist because of her only in this world.
There have been incidents when people do not take care of their mother when
they were alive but when they left the world, such people understand the value
of their mother. She is the only one who will cover all our faults during
childhood, she is the one who used to save us from the scolding of father and
many a times she used to take the blame of the mistakes done by us on herself.
She is great and she always would be. What a MAA can do for her children could
never be done by someone else in the world. She has shed her life for her
children, she left her aspirations unfulfilled for us, and she left her career
to shape our future……
Today is mother’s day a
day made special to let out mother feel that we respect her, we remember her
for everything she has done for us and we are privileged to have her. But still
there is other side of the story as well. On one side we celebrate mother’s day
but on the other hand we are still afraid to have a girl child. Statistics prove
that there still a lot of improvement needed in certain regions of India where
female infanticide and child killing rates are high.
It’s an irony that we respect
a lady when old but cannot absorb the pain of having a girl child feeling to
understand that today’s girl is tomorrow’s mother. The female to male ratio in
certain regions of India are still shocking and we need to work on the
improvement of this. We as a youth of India need to understand this dynamics
and should avoid such evil practices. We need to understand that female and
male in today’s era are equally important and the ratio needs to be maintained.
Today girl are similar to boys and are matching shoulder to shoulder whether
it’s a field of research, defense or any other area. They are equal and
sometimes better to male counterparts.
On this auspicious day
I remember my childhood and the way my mother used to make it simple for me.
She used to wake up late during my exams and was more worried for my future
from the time when I was unaware of it. She has built a strong value system
that helps in getting success wherever I go and helps me in performing best among the millions. I owe my success to her . You all also might have similar
story. Feel free to share one of the best moment you spent with your mother on
this day with other defense aspirants. You all as future officers have a bigger
role to play in days to come as you need to respect female, protect motherland
and follow the strong value and traditional base built by your mother. Get ready
to achieve your goal and fulfil dream of your mother to see stars not on the
sky but on your shoulders. Get ready to perform!!!
