SSB Awareness Series: When will Vengeance be served?

Every time India has tried to have friendly & peaceful ties with Pakistan, they have backstabbed us. And this is a ritual they has been maintained with utter perfection by the Pak-Army and the ISI with the help of some Jihadi Groups. What should India do to curb such heinous activities?

"Revenge is an act of passion;
 Vengeance of justice,
Injuries are revenged;
Crimes are avenged."
                                  -Samuel Johnson.

India has always been seen to have taken a socio-political stand when it came in dealing with the tormented relationship with Pakistan. But in the wake of the recent attacks on the Pathankot Air Force Station which took place on the morning of 2nd January, 2016 at around 0330 hrs, the whole country mourns at the loss of its brave soldiers. And surprisingly this is not the first time that infiltrators have wreak havoc on the land. Every time there have been either terrorists backed by the Pakistani army or Pakistani soldiers dressed as terrorists and lets no forget about their ISI who have been a pioneer in assisting them with resources and services.

So when & how will India cancel this Apocalypse? By extending friendly wishes or reciprocate?
People like Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi roam freely in Pakistan who have caused insurmountable damage to the pride and integrity of India. Nowhere in the world it can be seen that a bankrupt nation with governance ambiguities inflicting injuries on a more powerful nation. Shouldn’t the government take lessons from the Operation Neptune Spear in neutralizing the Non-State actors and Jihadi Fringe groups which are nourished by Pakistan?

By now the people of India have well understood that the stand that India has taken all these decades will only be seen as a chance to inflict injury to it by its enemies. But just understanding won’t help change the present scenario. The NDA govt. much take some strict steps and re-route the existing guidelines so that our enemies think twice before committing such an act once again.

MEASURES THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN
·         The Gujral Doctrine and Manmohan doctrine have been partly responsible in disabling the military prowess of India. There must be a change in the foreign policies and we must give them a befitting reply of this Asymmetrical warfare.
·         The government must think of hitting the enemy where it is already weak, and needless to say Pakistan is a country falling apart both in governance and resources. So the foundation has already been made. And the Peshawar attacks has already caused an atmosphere of distrust.
·         Our intelligence units have seen tremendous downfall in their working. The government should help them with more resources.
·         More use of Advanced Technology like thermal imaging, spy drone surveillance can help in detection of infiltration.
·         Better security check at public transport. CCTV installations can be helpful. Terrorists are now infiltrating in Army fatigues.So combat prints of Indian Army should not be available in market other than authorized cantonment stores.
·         Lack of Co-operation at the upper levels of the Administration may lead to disaster which may have been prevented if there had been co-ordination.
·         The Blame game should not be played by the opposition parties, during such events the whole country should stand united even with people with a different set of ideology.

The country which sees Jihadi Elements as their heroes & does not accept the bodies of its army-officers can’t be trusted anymore. It’s high time that India changes its terms of Diplomacy with Pakistan as we can’t afford to lose our soldiers every time there is an infiltration. It’s time for GHQ- Rawalpindi to face judgement for all the atrocities against India.

  1. Most of the times pakistan keeps saying that non state actors have done the damage and they are out of our control. We must ask pak govt to stay firm on non state actors' stand and tell them to help indian forces to destroy these jihadis. If pakistan is not capable of punishing these jihadis, we must pressurize them to cooperate with pur forces who are damn capable of neutralizing every single perpetrator.
