This day is seen only by those who are screened in on the very first day. Second day at SSB is also known as psychology day because on this very day there happens four round of psychology. The psychology round consists of the following sub rounds :
1) TAT
2) WAT
3) SRT
4) SD
Before starting of this round, all the aspirants who get Screened in need to fill the PIQ a day before this round. PIQ plays a important role for psychology evaluation.

Lets see the detailed description of each of the round:
1) Thematic Apperception Test - In this round aspirants are shown twelve pictures which include one blank picture also. Candidates are required to write what led to the situation, what is going on and what would be the outcome? Each picture is shown for 30 seconds and candidates get four minute to write the story. The thirty second are to be utilized to perceive picture in their own way. The blank picture is given so that the candidates can imagine the picture themselves and write the story around that imagination.
2) Word Association Test - This test consists of series of sixty words that will come in a pre determined sequence and each word is shown for about 15 seconds. It is expected out of aspirants that they have to see the word, think and write the meaningful sentence in 15 seconds only. This can only be done if the first thought is marked in the response sheet.
3) Situation Reaction Test - This test is a unique test where genera or daily life situations are presented in front of the candidate and it is expected that the candidate will write the reaction as to what he or she will do in that situation in the answer booklet. the question booklet given for this test has 60 SRT's. In all near about 30 minutes are given to complete the booklet
4) Self description Test - This is the most simple but important test of psychology. Candidates are expected to write different paragraphs on the context about the opinion of parents , teacher, boss, friend, self, etc.

Once these four rounds are over candidates are asked to take rest as the psychology day starts early in morning to capture the real essence of personality. Also on this day itself few candidates will be called for PI. Please ensure maximum correlation with your personality because if psychology is not on track nothing can help. You have to be mentally ready to face it and prove that you have it in you!!!
In ssb all the section are important but i want to know which of the test in psych battery is important.
ReplyDeleteAll parts are equally important as they help in forming a personality profile, so everything shud be taken seriously. the best way to do at ur end is thru introspection.. keep wrking on knwing urself n thn reveal the same in SSB

DeleteRakesh has returned to his village in vacation during monsoon season.one night his village received heavy rainfall due to his village was flooded with water. As a result the life of villagers was disturbed so as their house. Rakesh decided to bring the life on track as fast as possible so requested all the villagers to contribute jointly towards clearing the roads and other things which has been destroyed by the flood. All the villagers agreed to it and giving their contribution towards it. after working day and night for one week Rakesh and other villagers were able to live their normal life. Rakesh felt satisfied as everyone thanked him for his suggestion.
