Which AFSB Center to select and when to schedule AFSB?

First of all I would like to congratulate the defense aspirants who have cleared the AFCAT exam and their numbers are appearing in the list released by the Indian air force. They have cleared the first hurdle and are among the ten thousand aspirants shortlisted by the Air-force head quarters for the next step. I have been receiving multiple queries from aspirants about AFCAT clearing and selection of SSB Centers.Aspirants are asking different types of queries which are summarized below:

• Which AFSB Center to select?
• Which is the easiest board for AFSB?
• Which date should be taken for AFSB?
• Where it is easy to get recommended?
• Why at few places less people called and at certain boards more people called?
• Is it easy to get recommended at a place where less people are called?

Though there is no sure shot formula to calculate such things but let me make you clear about one thing that if you have OLQ's and you know how and what to perform no one can stop you from getting selected where ever you go and which ever board you attend. So this is useless to think that more people get recommended at some board while less get recommended at some other board. these things of selecting a date and SSB center should be decided based on the administrative feasibility of yours. That's why Air force is giving aspirants the feasibility to select the dates and centers as per their convenience else they could also allocate these things unlike other forces are doing.

So select wisely the dates where you are free and can prepare well as its useless to go on a government paid trip and come back the very first day. Prepare well and go. Some people visit first day of SSB as if they have come on some trip, and they only return back the first day. First day of SSB is really very important as you need to demonstrate the potential within you then only you would be selected for further testing. Select the place where it is easy for you to reach and you need not take pain in reaching to far areas so that you can sensibly put your energy into screening rounds.

I hope now it is clear how and what to select. It completely depends on your feasibility and availability, but yes select dates as per your preparation mode. I had been directing aspirants to start working for AFSB preparations and don't just wait for the dates and center. Preparations can only get you recommended, so start working on your personality and psychology specially as these things need time for preparations. How to prepare would be covered in the next article so keep reading but I would like to suggest at this juncture that for preparations if you are planning to take guidance look for someone who can guide you individually as in large groups the individual personality is lost and AFSB is an exam where things entirely depend on ones personality . Psychology and PI cannot be prepared with larger groups as you need to present your individual self there. Start working as you are closer to earn your wings soon!!!!!
