SSB Decoded : SSB Vision Lucknow Workshop Chapter 2

The SSB vision team was all set again to conduct an on demand workshop but this time in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. The Lucknow workshop was conducted on 18^th March 2017. It was a chilly morning initially but the afternoon was hot. People were still enjoying the political win for the parties in the latest UP elections. Infact we finalized the venue where the oath taking ceremony was to happen and we changed it because of the sudden declaration for the ceremony. Some of them dared to move out and attend the workshop while few late starters were still juggling for some relax in their life on weekend.

But after all the problems we were all set to learn the new way for understanding SSB and unlearn all the old things. SSB has many entries and one should never be a last starter for this exam. The workshop featured many things and one point of focus was that “SSB is the easiest exam in India” as it never requires a book for preparation. SSB is all about one’s personality where one needs to know himself/ herself thoroughly in and out. Once this is done no one can stop one from getting recommended. The best suggested technique for this is self-introspection and the workshop focused on how do proper self-introspection.

Self-introspection is the key to success for SSB. If it’s done properly 80% of the preparation is done for SSB. The leftover is really easy to do and can be done by updating yourself with regular happenings. SSB is a personality assessment exam, where the in out of the personality is assessed, so one should prepare accordingly. Self-introspection needs to be done in according to lifeline technique. One should remember to divide life from birth till date into small segments and then study in depth and do proper analysis. Various questions need to be asked in different segments and then the qualities and weakness needs to be counted. The overall final result should give the OLQ’s and the weakness present along with their degrees. We at SSB vision have designed various question papers for doing this easily and psychometric assessments to know the personalities better. We keep on organizing various workshops and programs for the aspirants across the country.

The traditional way of studying life by dividing into sections and then extracting qualities out of it was told in detail. The modern approach is through the psychometric profiling. In this technique scientific questionnaires are used to analyse the personality. In the mentorship program offered by SSB vision we blend both the techniques to analyse the personality so that we give accurate analysis of personality to the aspirant. Once you know your weakness then only you would be able to work on them and mention the same in SD or PI.

Hence it becomes essential to do this and then start the preparation. The myths of SSB were decoded where all aspirants or at least the majority of them fall in trap of wrong counselling and start moving in wrong direction by learning readymade solutions for SSB. Please remember that every personality is different and there is no fixed solution for anything at SSB. We had PPDT and psychology tips and tricks discussed post this and the right approach for PPDT along with doubt resolution. Two stories were formed and discussed along with individual mistakes.. Post this the Query resolution and right approach for preparation was formulated. We also had a round of Lecturette where every aspirant got an opportunity to speak on a topic along with the personal feedback.

Learning by Fun was the special attraction of the Lucknow workshop and every aspirant enjoyed it. While playing we realized many of the OLQ’s present and discussed the ways to improve them for clearing SSB easily.
