Psychology for SSB : Practice Series 1 - TAT

"You have got to follow your passion, You have got to figure it out what it is you love, who you really are and have the courage to do that. I believe the only courage  anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dreams." SSB is one such exam where one needs to be oneself, no study , no extra knowledge will help from different resources. You need to love country and should be ready to dedicate your life for it.
SSB
Aspirants have been worried about getting Screened out which is the first hurdle in the dream they saw to wear the uniform. Screening needs one to reveal the officer potential so that they can be recommended for further tests of psychology, PI and GTO. Once recommended in screening one needs to reveal the Officer like Qualities (OLQ) present in them (basically 15 in number). The hurdles aspirant face in screening are the following:

  • Aspirants read unknowingly from different resources which have no verified data and the articles present there might not be written by experienced individuals. So they gather wrong knowledge and that's too harmful.
  • There are many myths which aspirants hear from different resources and they certainly believe them without knowing the background. On such myths one should always prefer taking expert advice.
  • Ready-made solutions are loved by the aspirants and they don't understand that Screening stories have no solution as such. Every aspirant can write a different story for the PPDT round as per their personality and can get selected.
  • There are certain essential things that assessors see in the stories that needs to be certainly there in the story and should definitely come out in individual narration too. If that's missing there are no chances for selection.
Aspirants have been requesting SSB Vision to assess their stories to see if its valid for writing in the SSB. Please understand there are always two elements in the story written by the Aspirants which are evaluated by the psychologist. First is the story should have basic elements of a good story and secondly it should reflect the personality of the aspirant. We are posting a picture here and would request the aspirants to read the basic tips and tricks and the solved examples and samples of few pictures and then write the stories here in the comment section. We would evaluate them and would leave my comment for the suitability as per SSB standards. So lets start the practice and see how close we stand to our dream job!!!

SSB
Write your Story for this picture
Rules:
1) One person should write one story only along with their names.
2) The story should be written in a time bound manner only and should be written in the same way as one writes at SSB for psychology round, so that the exact exam condition can be replicated.
3) The story in the comment section will only be evaluated. Don't see the stories of other aspirants while writing the story and try to write your own original idea.
4) Remember no answer is right or wrong in psychology. You only need to mention the first thought that comes to your mind after seeing the picture.

SSB preparation always takes time so dont wait for the last moment to start your preparation. One should always work through the technique of self introspection which is the best proven technique to get selected for SSB. Wondering what this technique is? Click here to read more.
