SSB Decoded: SSB Vision Delhi Workshop Chapter

The winter was at its peak and everyone was getting ready in a holiday mood for celebrating Christmas. New dress, Santa, jingles, Christmas tree, gifts and what not , but midway to this there was a group of aspirants who were getting ready to serve the nation. Leaving all the things at side these ten aspirants were busy making their future, they were determined to learn and apply for fighting a new war at SSB and win the battle by getting their favorite Olive green or Blue or the White for them.

The SSB Vision started their workshop season in the capital city and there was a great response for the same. Many aspirants registered for it. Based on the limited seats few were called on for the workshop. These workshops are demand based and conducted to keep a tab of preparation for the aspirants and to cover a topic of interest and resolve queries.

Target the goal and fight the battle bravely at SSB

Psychology was the main agenda of the day as its important part of recommendation at SSB. Because of many unreliable resources and myths floating in the air, aspirants don't have the correct information about this field. They read the wrong information and believe it and start thinking in the wrong direction. This became evident in the query resolution round also when aspirants discussed about their queries in the workshop and were shocked to hear the reality. The present batch was a mix of freshers and repeaters and few of them had taken coaching also. But they appreciated the new way of learning things at the workshop because we at SSB Vision believe in "Learning by Playing". Coaching however believes in teaching in large batches where there might be less good and more loss to the personality of aspirants as all are taught the same way while SSB concept differs. SSB believes that every personality is different and should be treated differently. These things were touched upon and the aspirants were amazed to see the new way of decoding SSB. As we all know that SSB is all about personality and the way one reveals the office potential and the Officer like qualities. The concept of image matching by revealing what the conscious mind says and what comes through sub conscious and unconscious mind was also studied. The whole of the SSB process is based on this concept and if one understand by clearing the basics then recommendation becomes very easy. The majority of the aspirants make mistake of starting reading with unreliable resources the ready made solutions for psychology which has negative impact. Moreover majority of the aspirants also never analyse their personality and begin directly with practicing of psychology which is wrong. Think on these lines that you don't know what to reveal in psychology as you have not studied your personality and you start writing the stories/ WAT/SRT which is similar to writing answers without knowing the question.

Self introspection technique was understood in the workshop and all the relevant queries were resolved. Self introspection involves study of full life from birth till date w.r.t OLQ's under different frames. These frames give the idea of what qualities one reveal while what they should have or could have as per the situation. The outcome of this exercise is the OLQ present and missing that needs development. We at SSB Vision have developed questionnaire that helps doing self introspection easily and under supervision. These assessments are available under mentorship program and can be taken by anyone from their home itself. No need to travel to a location or take leave from office. Do them at your desired time and space whenever you want and move the first right step towards SSB preparation. Once the profile is formed after self introspection, then we move towards the practice sets and see if the qualities present in you are being reflected or not and understand basics to work in the right direction.
