What to do after clearing AFCAT2/2015?

First of all I would like to congratulate who are among the ten thousand aspirants who have made through the stage one of selection for the Indian Air force officers. The nest step is to be taken immediately. I have been receiving a lot of queries in selection of AFSB center and other such queries so i thought of solving those queries collectively through this forum. The immediate next step is selecting a date and a center for AFSB.

·                     Air-force has released a list which has the AFCAT numbers for the aspirants who have been shortlisted, so if your number appears there be assured you have cleared the exam and would definitely get a AFSB call.

·                     Now log in to the candidate login section in the air-force website and see individual marks earned in AFCAT and EKT separately. The cutoff for this time of AFCAT is 144/300 marks and for EKT is 52/150 marks. Only the candidates who have cleared both the cutoffs are eligible for technical entry.

·                     Once this is done you need to select your AFSB center and the date that suits you the most. the deadline for the same is 18 October , post which Air-force will automatically allot the centers to the remaining aspirants. Also take the printout of the call up letters immediately.

·                     So its always judicial to see what dates you can accompany the the center and which is the nearest center can be opted as your first choice. I have seen aspirants looking for short cuts as to where the recommendation rate is high and such things. Believe me in Defense forces no short cut works. At all the SSB centers all 15 OLQ's will be assess by similar means so there is no question of easy center and tough AFSB center. 

• Instead of all this utilize your time to prepare and look what and where to prepare. The youth in today's era looks for short cuts which might work somewhere but not in Indian defense forces.
• Once the dates and the center is opted you should start preparing immediately in terms of personality development, improvement and preparation for psychology as whatever be the rounds you are judged based on the psychological impact.Such things can be achieved if you take assessments and preparation modes individually rather than in large groups as personality of every one varies so such things cannot be taught in large chunks.
• Then start with self-introspection to realize what you have and what needs to be inculcated, once done you are ready to practice material, but ensure that you don't try to copy someone or read something published at different places, but try to reflect your very own personality into whatever you do . This should be the cycle of practice for individuals.
