1. Dhoni steps down as India’s limited overs captain

·         He was India’s most successful captain, leading the team to victory in 2007 World T-20 in South Africa,2011 World cup in India, and 2013 champions trophy in England

·         Dhoni captained India in 199 ODIs, of which won 110 and lost 74. He was captain 72 T-20s, of which India won 41 and lost 28. He was also India’s most successful test captain, with 21 wins, 18 defeats and 15 draws.

2. Scientists discovered a new human organ

·         Irish scientist J Calvin Coffey identified a new human organ that exists in the digestive system for hundreds of years named as MESENTERY it connects the intestine to the abdomen.

3 . 5- Indo-Americans sworn-in as members of US congress

·         Kamala harris, Ami bera, pramila jayapal, Raja Krishna moorthi, Ro khanna all are democrats

·         Harris, bera and Ro khanna are from California. Raja and pramila are from Washington state

4. Stalin made DMK’S working president

·         After steadily climbing in the party hierarchy from starting as municipal wardlevel representative to become the treasurer and now the working president, the 63 year old leaders enters a decisive phase in his political career. 

5. ISRO to shoot 103 satellites in one go

·         Out of 103 three of them are foreign satellites and they are from Us, Germany, Russi

·         PSLV-C37 in February from its satish space Dhawan Centre in sriharikota launches these satellites.

6. 5 states to go polls from February 4 to march 8 results will be announced on March 11

·         Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand ,Manipur will go to polls above dates said Election commissioner Nasim zaidi

·         He also added 16 crores people will vote in the five states. For 690 seats, with 29 reserved for SC/ST candidates.

7. Pakistan international airlines air craft hit an air France plan while taxiing at Toronto Pearson international air port

8. Turkey detains 5 is suspects linked to night club attack

·         Turkey’s state run news agency says that police have detained 5 suspected Islamic state group militants believed to be linked to the deadly Istambul night club attack.

9. Zuckerberg’s 2017 resoultion

·         He want to meet people in real life in every US state in an effort to mend societal divisions wrought by the twin forces to technology and globalisation.

10. Navy chief arrives in Vizag on three days official visit

·         Naval staff admiral Sunil lanba along with his wife Reena lanba who is president of Navy wives association  visited eastern naval command

·         He held discussion with vice admiral HCS bisht , flag officer commanding in chief, and other flag officers.

11. China benefits as India goes digital

·         As, a result the country imports 90 per cent of swiping machines used for cashless transactions at shops and business. Almost all of them are from china and neighbouring Taiwan

·         There are 2.74 crores debit cards in India and 73.92 credit cards in India taking the total active cards are 76.6 crores . where 24 crores of them belong to master card and 20 crores of tem belong to visa surprisingly, Indias  homegrown card brand Rupay has 31.7 crores cards issues but 20.7 crores of them linked to jan-Dhan yojana majority of them are in active..

12 AP CM Chandra babu naidu lays stone for museum

·         CM along with the advisor to Defence minister G satish reddy laid the foundation for construction of “MUSEUM OF SCIENCES” In tirupathi.

13 Google launches two initiatives for small and medium business

·         Small business is the back bone for the India’s economy. Internet is for everyone

·         Google along with Indian chamber for commers and industry ,has developed a training program call DIGITAL UNLOCKED to empower thousands of Indaian SMBs with essential digital skills

14 Chinese smartphones grab 40% pie of Indian market.
